era

I do not agree with the ERA. I believe that men and women can never completely equal when it comes to some aspects of life. For example, the physical aspects, If the country was completely equal than women would play men's sports and would not be able to compete, at least at the professional level. When it comes to jobs that are usually dominated by men that tend to be stronger and that require heavy lifting women would be involved in these jobs by the standards of a completely equal society or in the healthcare job market. Also, it would be outrageous to send both men and women to war against their will. If this was the case how would the government choose who would go and who would stay? But I do agree with many of the points made by the ERA. For example I do agree that women should have an option to break away from the conformity of the kitchen and the household. not all women have to confor to the housewife model but they deffinarly play a role in society. They should have the opportunity to work and earn a education just like men. The ERA should not be but in place because many of the rights that women were looking for are coming with time and do not need laws to be passed.
